REMEMBRANCE DAY

I think I had this on a very floppy red vynil but lost it. At the time I thought it was fantastic, but now 30 years later knowing the true manipulation and lies that brought WW1 and WW2 and possibly WW3 about...

We definitely need an alternative Remembrance Day.

Remembrance Day by B Movie (1981)

In the forest, in the snow
All those many years ago
Pale stones and epitaphs
Mourning bells and half-mast flags
In the cemetery where they fell
All those many years ago
And now it's just a memory
Eroded by the years

Forgotten heroes underground
Wrinkled faces gather round
Pale stones and epitaphs
Roses on a barbed wire fence
Winter landscapes never change
Oh it must have been the same
In the forest, in the snow
All those many years ago

Remembrance Day
All they have is memories
From photographs in silver frames
Upon the mantelpiece
Remembrance Day
Lost forever in the fields
Of foreign lands
Many miles away

In the forest, in the snow
All those many years ago
Bombed-out victims blown sky high
Buried where they lie
A generation underground
Wrinkled faces gather round
Songs will never bring them back
Never bring them back
