MAIL ON SUNDAY WILL NOT LET IT LIE

The Mail on Sunday continues its crusade against evil Red Ed Miliband, this time blaming him for the Climate Change Act 2008 that has put a levy on everyone's energy bills so that we can slash carbon emissions by 80% by subsidising green energy policies.

The MoS article lays the blame at Red Ed's feet.
...Put another way, in 2020 consumers will be paying £270 a year to fund green initiatives, some imposed by ambitious targets set by the 2008 Climate Change Act, which was piloted through the Commons by Ed Miliband when he was Energy Secretary.

Last week a political storm was triggered by energy firm SSE’s announcement of an 8.2 per cent price rise. Other companies are expected to follow suit shortly.

Yesterday Energy Minister Greg Barker said: ‘The higher energy bills falling on to people’s doormats have Ed Miliband’s smudgy fingerprints all over them.’

[source : Red Ed's great green obsession... and the real reason YOUR bill has gone through the roof: The hidden subsidies each household pays every year thanks to Miliband's laws, Mail on Sunday, http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2456760/Red-Eds-great-green-obsession--real-reason-YOUR-gone-roof-The-hidden-subsidies-household-pays-year-thanks-Milibands-laws.html, 13th October 2013]

Note the language: Miliband's Laws, piloted; smudgy fingerprints.

But who opposed the bill in 2008?

HARDLY ANYONE!

It was almost unanimously passed.

And the Tories and Lib Dems wanted to take it further!

So far from being Miliband's law with his smudgy fingerprints all over it which he devilishly piloted through Parliament, I would say that a penguin could have managed the passage of that act. Why? Because back then the nation was gripped by eco-fear, that the lands would melt and the seas would boil if we didn't immediately halt and then reverse human progress by limiting economic growth, killing billions of people.

But that was 5 years ago. After over a decade of predictions of gloom and doom from an institution, The Meteorological Office, that consistently cannot accurately predict the weather just a few days in advance I read yesterday that starting next month we face one of the coldest winters on record! And this after they admitted that temperatures have stayed constant for the last 15 years (and that is using temperatures taken at dodgy places where the air would be just that little bit warmer...)

The truth is that the climate changes all the time, the sun drives our climate, we produce insignificant amounts of carbon dioxide compared to natural emissions, we need carbon dioxide for plants to grow for our food chain, and the moon plays a massive part in medium term weather/climate (as shown by Piers Corbyn at http://www.weatheraction.com/).

Sadly, the environment is just being used to:
1. tax us all to death;
2. bring about more world government;
3. introduce a carbon trading system from which only a self-elected evil megalomaniac few will profit financially.

I also note that there is very little if any desire to repeal The Climate Change Act 2008 in any party represented in Parliament...BUT IT SHOULD BE! Before many more of our old age pensioners die from lack of food and/or lack of heating to pay for the bogus scam of global warming.

So Red Ed is right to cap energy prices.

But the whole bloody Climate Change Act 2008 should be binned.
