IS SELENA GOMEZ MILEY CYRUS LITE?

Selena Gomez, like the talentless Miley Cyrus, became a star through Disney.

But whereas Cyrus twerks and gropes and sticks her tongue out and simulates sex and openly smokes cannabis, Gomez projects a softer, gentler, perhaps cuter image.

But are we being deceived?

There is a brief article today in The Daily Mail on a gig that Gomez did for the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving yesterday. Thanksgiving is a celebration of genocide of native American Indians, so that's a good start. But 'cute' Gomez, in this supposed thanksgiving to God, looked like a tart. Not quite in Cyrus' league, but still a tart.

Gomez recently starred in one of the most depraved debauched films on general release, Springbreakers. The film was about four girls who go off to Florida for one of those infamous breaks that American youth take where they go wild. Gomez plays a character who goes to church but wants to go to Florida with her mates, so to fund the trip she robs a restaurant after snorting cocaine. In Florida things get really, really wild. After some time to think about her behaviour Gomez returns home, but her mates stay and slide into a full time life of crime and debauchery, who eventually drive off into the sunset in a stolen Lamborghini. So although Gomez' character reflects on her behaviour and returns to the church-going society she left behind, her mates drive off into the sunset in a Lamborghini. The film was heavily pushed over here. I remember it being praised on BBC Radio.

Was Gomez used to drag young women into watch such a film to be attracted to a lifestyle in which you get to drive off into the sunset in a Lamborghini?

Gomez and Cyrus donate generously to the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund.
