SURPRISE! ARAFAT WAS POISONED WITH POLONIUM 210

Yasser Arafat, the late Palestinian leader, may well have been poisoned with radioactive polonium, Swiss scientists have concluded in findings that may solve a 10-year riddle but torpedo the latest Middle East peace process.

His remains contained unusually high levels of polonium-210, a substance experts say can usually only be obtained from governments, months of forensic tests have shown.

The conclusions are likely to reawaken allegations that the late guerrilla leader - long a totemic symbol of the Palestinian national cause, was murdered, possibly by Israel which considered him a terrorist.

This really does put the death of Alexander Litvinenko in a completely different light.

All those accusations, but no proof, no evidence, no public inquiry.

There was also the following report of suspicious objects up Litvinenko's arse which was quickly buried:
The poison used to attack the former Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko remained unknown last night as doctors searching for a radioactive toxin focused their efforts on pieces of "dense matter" found in his intestines.

The team treating Mr Litvinenko at University College Hospital in central London believe the defector must have knowingly swallowed the three pieces of material which have become lodged in his colon.

X-rays have shown that two of the items are of a similar size to a 2p coin and the other is the shape of a figure "8", according to a hospital source. But it is not yet known whether the three items are linked to Mr Litvinenko's illness, which has left him without a functioning immune system, due to the failure of his bone marrow, and liver damage. Tests are being carried out to identify the pieces of material.

Then there was this Wikileaks entry:
Russian authorities in London had known about and followed individuals moving radioactive substances into the city but were told by the British that they were under control before the poisoning took place.

And finally the suspicious search of the house of the now dead Boris Berezovsky by police, who say they found nothing yet a paramedic's dosimeter was triggered:
Police have cordoned off the 67-year-old's home while police, including chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) trained officers, conduct a number of searches as a precaution, Thames Valley Police said.

Mr Berezovsky was declared dead at the scene by a paramedic. On leaving the premises, the paramedic's personal electronic dosimeter (PED) was triggered. The device measures the air for potentially dangerous levels of radiation.

However, specialist officers who attended the scene subsequently found no trace of radiation of chemical agents and have said there is no health risk.

I think Litvinenko and Berezovsky were smuggling stuff and something went wrong, so they blamed Putin. Berezovsky was about to go back to Russia after testifying at Litvinenko's inquest, but he was silenced and never lived to testify.

Oh, what a tangled we weave when we practice to deceive.
