BRUTISH FASCIST NEO NAZI UKRAINE

A few weeks ago The Guardian was attacking Putin and Russia, naming them "the newest rogue state", "brutish Russia" and "brutish Putin". However, this was at a time when the latest shooting-fish-in-a-barrel slaughter in The Gaza Strip was beginning to reach its peak, with over 1500 Palestinians killed by Israel, most of whom were civilians, while less than 60 Israelis had been killed, most of whom were IDF during the ground invasion of Gaza.

I questioned why The Guardian did not refer to Israel as "brutish Israel". Israel has now killed slightly short of 2000 Palestinians, whereas Russia has not killed anyone. Yes, there are allegations that Russia directly or indirectly shot down MH17, but the evidence points to Ukraine (or someone else) shooting that down, no matter how much time Brown Moses spends on watching videos. He was wrong on Ghouta. He is wrong on MH17. He has to ask himself why The Guardian would support Israel and neo Nazis in Ukraine but also sponsor him. Owen Jones and Seamus Milne also need to ask them selves a few questions.

But as with Israel, Ukraine has now killed over 2000 in East Ukraine. Yet where are the cries of "brutish Ukraine!" in the NATO media? You will not find them. Because what has happened in Ukraine is a violent NATO-sponsored neo-Nazi coup. The PM Yatseniuk runs a foundation sponsored by NATO, and many members of the putsch are members of neo Nazi parties. They seized power by burning government buldings, beating and murdering policemen and chasing the legal government away. Their supporters were confident enough to chase anti-putschists into a building in Odessa and burn them alive, shoot at them as they tried to jump from third floor windows to escape the flames, and beat to death those who survived the jump. This is what we are dealing with in Ukraine. There is nothing romantic about it, as Luke Harding of The Guardian would have you believe. This is hard core geopolitics using neo Nazis to eventually NATO-ise Ukraine and put NATO's nuclear missiles on the border between Ukraine and Russia, threatening WW3.

But it is also curious that Stop The War has been focusing on Gaza while ignoring Ukraine. I suppose this is sort of understandable. Israel has placed Gaza under illegal blockade for years, and regularly 'mows the lawn'.

But the death toll in East Ukraine has now passed that in Gaza (though there are probably more corpses to be found in the rubble in the next few months). And this latest ceasefire looks like it could last for now.
