There were definite contacts. Things may or may not have been said and/or agreed. And as a consequence Russia may or may not have manufactured particular propaganda and/or hacked particular email accounts.
This sacking of Comey puts the attack on Syria by Bomber Trump in a new light, because it shut a hell of a lot of DC up, and after which Bomber Trump curiously tweeted:
Things will work out fine between the U.S.A. and Russia. At the right time everyone will come to their senses & there will be lasting peace!

But Comey was not fired by Bomber Trump.
Comey was fired by Roger Stone.
While shock dominated much of the FBI and the White House, the mood was more elated at Roger Stone's house in Florida. Several Stone allies and friends said Stone, who has been frequently mentioned in the investigation, encouraged the president to fire Comey in conversations in recent weeks.
On Twitter, Stone signaled praise for the move by posting an image of Trump from The Apprentice saying "You're fired."
Stone declined to comment Tuesday night but said he was enjoying a fine cigar.

Stone was the dirty trickster of the Republican Party, and is alleged by veteran NYPD investigator Jim Rothstein to have been involved in running the CIA paedophile networks of his former lover, the deep, dark CIA agent Roy Cohn. Stone is also implicated in installing George W Bush in the White House to enable the PNAC wars, and in enabling the global financial crisis of 2007/8.
So I would not put coordinating with Russia to install Bomber Trump in the White House beyond him.
Which could be why Stone was so keen to fire Comey.
Because Comey was too curious and getting warm...
